Dear Northwood Alumnae: I am very excited about the first commencement exercise for Northwood High School since June, 1985.  This is a special occasion for the Class of 2008, and I am pleased that you have agreed to be part of this moment with them.  I know that all of you have very fond memories of your experience at Northwood and like members of the Class of 2008 these memories are lasting.  The theme for Commencement 2008 is “Continuing the Legacy” and, thus, the reason for your role in this event.  Commencement 2008 will provide an opportunity for Northwood High School to come together as a true family and continue with the strong traditions of years past as we try to instill in this generation of Northwood students the same pride you exhibit as part of the Northwood family. 

 In order to organize this occasion, an alumni breakfast for commencement participants will be held on Saturday morning, May 17, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. in the Northwood Media Center to provide important information about the June 2^nd event.  We would like all commencement participants to be present so that we can distribute materials, information, etc.  At that time, we will also hear from our commencement speakers who will speak on the topics: “Beginning the Legacy,” “Reclaiming the Legacy,” and “Continuing the Legacy.”  The school contact for your involvement in this event will be Ms. Annie Amantea, our administrative secretary.  She can be reached by phone at (301) 649-8088 or by email at annie_amantea@mcpsmd.org.

A description of the different "Pages" on our site.

The "Reunion" pages will be a compilation of photos from previous reunions based on which reunion they were taken.

The "Roster" Page is the Roll of the entire class, listed the way the name was under the picture in the Yearbook in 1960.We have also included an asterisk or two, to indicate if those marked so,are missingor deceased. Please, if you have any updated information, let us know. This can be a great way to keep the names and addresses of everyone as current as possible, so please keep an eye on the "Roster" page and let us know if you see anything that needs updating or is incorrect.

The "Dance" Page is a little information about a club that has been formed to preserve the form of dance that is somewhat native to our area and era. It also includes information about upcoming events and schedules for the Club!

The "Teachers" Page is a list of the entire administration at the school during our senior year listed as they were in the Yearbook.

The "E-Mail" Page is where you can find fellow Northwoodites E-mail addresses. If you click on their name, the E-Mail page will appear by itself.

The "Message Board" is the page for recent messages and photos which have been sent to us.

The "Archive" Pages are where we will store all of the "older" photos that were online in the past so all the new people that join our Internet family will have an opportunity to see them.

The "Car" Page will be photos and/or related information about the cars we used to drive, and some of the cars that we still drive that may fit in the "Hot Rod" or high performance catagory, that most of us admired!
